What do Ilike about teaching
Meeting new people and learning from them as much as I teach. Oh, and learning about the best bars in town.
My advice to students of English
Live, dream and breath English if you want to learn it. Enjoy everything that’s strange about it and try not to worry about grammar too much.
Three things I like
The colour red, the sound of loud guitars, and slivovice
My favourite English word
‘Bostin’ – It’s a Birmingham word that means ‘smashing’ (another good word), or more simply, ‘excellent’. Other similar words are ‘sound’ and ‘grand’. They all mean much the same.
My favourite Czech word
‘Dobry’, because when somebody says it you know you’ve done something good.
Something special about me
I once dressed as a gorilla and played Mexican mariachi music to a room full of marathon runners.
What I like most about P.A.R.K.
The teachers, the students, and weird coloured classroom doors.
