Born in: I was grew up on a farm in Virginia, but have lived in Texas before moving to the Czech Republic.

Education: I received a Bachelor of Arts with high honors in Slavistics and German from the University of Texas at Austin. I wrote my thesis on the journalism of Milena Jesenská in the context of interwar feminism. I received my TEFL certification before attending university from TEFL Toulouse.
