Teaching experience in (countries):
Little bit in New Zealand, mainly in the Czech Republic.

What I like about teaching
I love learning about my own language while teaching It to my students. I love chatting with new people and love the interaction.
My advice to students of English?
Being motivated and allowing yourself to take it step by step. Not being too hard on yourself, it’s a journey. However, sometimes we need to just throw ourselves in the deep end. I was thrown into it when I moved to the UK when I was a child and although tough it was the best thing.
Three things I like
Writing Poetry, watching movies, and finding new adventures.
My favourite English word
‘Sensational’. I encourage my Czech students to replace ‘fine’ with sensational. It always makes the classroom atmosphere a happy one.
My favourite Czech word
“Je to krušné!”
Something special about me
I have many places I consider home. Born in Breclav, grew up in Kobyli na Morave and Zidlochovice until I was 8. Then I was in the United Kingdom for 3 years in a tiny village called Bartlow before moving to New Zealand and living there for the past 11 years. Now I’m in Brno. Who knows where I will end up next!
My favorite thing about working in PARK
The atmosphere. My family is in New Zealand and being at PARK makes me feel like I have a family here too. It’s the most friendly work place I’ve ever experienced.
